Pam Plunkett has taught for 27 years. She is currently teaching seventh grade science at Harrisburg Middle School in Harrisburg. She is the recipient of 2015 Sigma Xi Outstanding Teacher Award, among other awards. She joined the SIUC Noyce- A Community of Problem Solvers MTF Program in 2013 and through the program attended numerous workshops and presented in many local and national conferences. In the program, she created a blog called Backyard Science and Other Mysteries of the Universe intended to give fellow teachers ideas about the use of environmental resources to expand their science curriculum. She is currently a member of the Teacher Advisory Board to the new SIUC Noyce- River Region Sustainability MTF Program.
